Tornio, Finland

Joentalo Tornio, Finland

Tornio has the unique position of being twinned with the city of Haparanda in Sweden, where the two countries share a border. As one of the oldest cities in Northern Finland, it has been an international meeting place for centuries. Tornio is also known as the birthplace of the Open Dialogue approach, and by offering our training in Western Lapland we hope to allow you to connect with the people and landscape that developed the model. Joentalo as a venue has for many decades facilitated training, conferences and workshops for individuals, families and communities working for the well-being of people in the area. We are delighted to be part of this continuum by bringing our training programme here.

The centre offers some low-cost accommodation.
